Iron Door Installation in Atlanta — Done Right the First Time
An iron door is an investment. The installation is what makes it worth every penny. At Vernazza Home, our certified install crew handles measurement, removal of your old door, and a precision fit — so your new iron door performs and looks the way it should for decades.
What's Included in a Vernazza Home Installation
- In-home measurement — we visit your home, measure your existing opening to 1/16", and confirm the right door size before you commit.
- Removal of your existing door — we handle the demo, including the old frame, hardware, and trim.
- Precision installation — our team levels, shims, and seals every door to manufacturer spec. Iron doors need a true plumb fit to swing right and stay weather-tight.
- Hardware setup — handle, hinges, lock cylinder, and weatherstripping installed and tested before we leave.
- Site cleanup — we leave your entryway cleaner than we found it.
- 5-year warranty — backed by Vernazza Home directly on labor; door manufacturer warranties stack on top.
Service Area
We provide in-person installation across the Atlanta metro: Buckhead, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Decatur, Druid Hills, Tucker, Doraville, Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, and Chamblee (our showroom city).
Outside of Atlanta? Call us to see if we can ship to your area.
Pricing
Installation pricing depends on door size, your existing opening, and any structural work needed (e.g., framing modifications). Typical installation cost: $800–$1,800 per door. We provide a written quote after the in-home measurement — no surprises.
The Install Timeline

Why Pro Installation Matters for Iron Doors
Iron doors weigh 200–400+ lbs. They need properly reinforced framing, precision shimming so the door swings true, correct weatherstripping (a sloppy install means cold drafts and water leaks), and proper hardware alignment for lock function.
A DIY install or general contractor without iron door experience usually costs more in callbacks than hiring our crew the first time.
